This project has special significance to Natural Habitat with it belonging to the parents of principal and senior designer of Natural Habitat. Essentially designed by Nicolle’s late father and retired builder Ross and mother, Helen.. it is the legacy of a lifetime of creating and building beautiful homes. The floor plan was carefully considered to accommodate independent aged living with the master suite on the ground floor but versatile enough to be a family home should the occupants change. The crisp white exterior is softened with the stunning aged bridge piers sourced from a decommissioned bridge in Forbes, NSW and accented with aged silvergrey shutters. The external space is broken up into various zones including firepit, pool and alfresco areas that flow from the interior. The interior is a galleryesque canvas that allows the combination of old furniture acquired over time with Helen’s discerning eye and new furniture predominately supplied by Natural Habitat and other local companies. The result is testimony to a creative partnership that was built on an appreciation of quality, good design but most importantly .. love. It remains a project close to Nicolle’s heart to have shared in its creation with those that inspired her career in interiors.
