Some clients come to us with a clear vision of their new home and these clients were no exception. Having engaged the architectural services of Sarah Armstrong, this home has beautiful proportions and scale. Having worked with these client’s previously, our role was really to review selections made to date, refine the distribution of finishes and then add texture and balance to the sophisticated palette. Very much the busy family home complete with working adults, teenagers and dog… the home had to be practical but still have the wow factor that complemented the clean lines of the modern architecture. A palette of white, black, timber and stone is softened with the use of vertical battens, honed marble and mosaic features. The kitchen would have to be the hero space of the house with state-of-the-art appliances featuring, but it is equally balanced by the dramatic living room, powder room and ensuite. Obviously our clients have great taste, this project was truly a pleasure to be a part of.
