We have had the pleasure of providing ongoing design services to the Cardow Real Estate family for many years now and the most recent project is the refurbishment of the Bellingen office on the corner of Hyde and Church Streets.
Originally an old bank (the original safe is still firmly ensconced in the back room), the existing interior office featuring high ceilings, thick walls and many original features. However, as is common with many renovations that occur over the years, it had become a rabbit warren of modifications that did not effectively segregate the various areas of the business such as admin, property management and sales.
By being able to extend into an adjacent tenancy, we were able to replan the layout and upgrade the finishes to be a professional, elegant and welcoming environment for staff and public alike.
The inclusion of a new meeting room, small offices, better planning of reception and admin has resulted in a co-hesive and light filled work space that embodies our ethos of being modern and classically timeless.
Renovating and working in a renovation is a challenging experience and not for the impatient or faint hearted. We thank Nathan and Katie Cardow for their support and positive attitude as we solved construction challenges inherent in an old building and trusting our vision and recommendations throughout the process. We loved being involved and transitioning another great local business into the future.
